The Vinicase and VR Professional wine alcoves are made out of stone powder from the Comblanchien Quarries in Burgundy France. It is mixed with white cement creating its natural looking color. Both the quality and density of this material offer an important inert, thermal mass, which creates temperature stability surrounding the wine bottles.

The different depths of the alcove facilitate reversed stacking of all types of wine bottles and assure optimal stability. Reversed stacking offers optimal wine conservation and an appreciated gain of space. The necks of the wine bottles, their most sensitive area, are at the rear of the wine racks. Labels are visible without moving the bottles, which interferes with desired settling of the wine.
